Fody Fuels

Fody Fuels is a low-FODMAP protein shake brand that prioritizes health, function, and dietary safety. The brand was inspired by the lack of accessible, trustworthy protein beverages for individuals with digestive sensitivities, gastrointestinal diseases, and chronic gut-related illnesses. Observations throughout local retail stores and online marketplaces revealed a noticeable absence of beverages catered to gastrointestinal-sensitive consumers. Most protein drinks are formulated and marketed for general wellness consumers, however those drinks consistently leave gut-sensitive individuals with limited or unclear options due to the ingredients within the drinks. 

 

This absence created the main concern of the project, how to develop a brand and package design that clearly communicates dietary safety and ingredient transparency without sacrificing functionality, aesthetic appeal, or shelf presence. Through the use of a human-centered design approach, the package design was developed to address both physical and emotional consumer needs. The design emphasizes clarity, reassurance, and ease of decision-making at the point of purchase for consumers.

 

The final package design utilizes vibrant yet approachable colors, custom illustrations, and intuitive iconography to capture consumer attention while maintaining a strong and accessible information hierarchy. Key nutritional and dietary indicators are prioritized to reduce cognitive load and increase consumer confidence. The logo and overall visual identity were intentionally designed to evoke feelings of wellness, trust, and safety, reinforcing Fody Fuels as a reliable solution for gut-sensitive consumers. Together, these elements establish a cohesive brand identity that balances credibility, wellness, and trust with modern, functional design.
